The 2022 Dodge Challenger is one of the most recognizable sports cars on the market. Each vehicle is unique in its own delightful way. But you’ve seen the title. We at Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Norman, Oklahoma think it’s time to talk about something important. It’s time to discuss the end of an era: the end of the Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger.
New Dodge Challenger Inventory
The Dodge Charger debuted in 1966. The Dodge Challenger followed later in 1969 as the 1970 Challenger. These last 40+ years have evolved both the muscle car and the muscle sedan. Not only are they popular for the modern buyer, but they’ve made their way into movies, like Fast & Furious, and tv shows over the years. The rev of each Dodge turns heads on any road. But, sadly, we’re coming to the end of an era.
Dodge revealed that its first all-electric muscle car will be here in 2024. We’ve known that was coming. The automobile environment is moving to where each brand is increasing its electric lineup. This means we’re saying goodbye to the Charger and Challenger, at least as we currently know them, and the discontinuation of the Hellcat engine. Soothe your worries though. The electric vehicle Dodge has planned will still be a muscle car fully focused on performance.

We at Landers CDJR Norman are on the edge of our seats waiting for Dodge to release more information on its electric plans. Any attempts on editing the teaser picture to see the electric Dodge sooner does nothing against Dodge’s penchant for smoke to cover up any details they don’t want to release. That’s okay. We can wait.
