Heads up, truck lovers! There is an exciting new development because Ram just unveiled the all-electric 2025 Ram 1500 REV (Ram Electric Vehicle) and we are proud to be leading the charge in bringing eco-friendly transportation options to our customers. It’s the brand’s first electric pickup truck, so of course it’s causing a major industry buzz. Keep reading now to learn about what we know so far!

How it Compares to the Ram 1500

The REV is a battery-powered version of the gas-powered Ram 1500. It retains the rugged body-on-frame chassis of the 1500 we are used to and adds enough LED lighting to cover a short runway. The two look very similar, so if you’re loving the look of the Ram 1500 already, you’ll still get those aesthetics. Car and Driver notes, “The gas-powered Ram, for a long time, has offered a luxurious interior with quality materials that outpaces its competitors, and we suspect its shift toward battery dependence won’t change that.” Although, even better news. The concept’s cab is four inches longer than the current Ram 1500 crew cab, and a set of jump seats that create a third row are also featured.

The REV will be able to tow as much as 14,000 pounds, depending on options. Ram says it will use an 800-volt architecture that allows for quick DC fast-charging rates.
