2022 Wrangler Willys Xtreme Recon Package Debuts at 2021 Detroit 4Fest

Previously, the largest wheel you could get on a new Wrangler from the factory was a 33-inch tire on the Rubicon models. This wheel fitment has no rubbing issues because of the Rubicon’s high clearance front fenders. Most Jeep enthusiasts would add a lift kit to their vehicle and stuff 35-inch or even 37-inch tires to add more ground clearance to their Wrangler. Jeep caught on to this trend and released the Rubicon Recon package on the regular Rubicon and the Rubicon 392.

This new edition starts at $39,435 (plus $1,495 destination charge). The 2022 Jeep Wrangler Willys with the Xtreme Recon Package includes:

  • LT315/70R17 (35-inch) BF Goodrich KO2 all-terrain tires
  • 17×8-inch Beadlock capable wheels
  • Rear swing gate reinforcement
  • 4.56:1 axle ratio
  • 1.5-inch factory suspension lift with uniquely tuned shocks
  • Anti-lock four-wheel-disc performance brakes

The Willys Wrangler already includes several enhancements from the factory including a black grille, matte black Jeep badges, black Trail Rated badge, and “4-Wheel-Drive” and “Willys” decals.

Equipped with the Xtreme Recon Package, the Wrangler Willys delivers best-in-class approach angle, departure angle, ground clearance, and water fording capability:

  • Approach angle – 47.4 degrees
  • Breakover angle – 26.7 degrees
  • Departure angle – 40.4 degrees
  • Ground clearance – 12.9 inches
  • Water fording – 33.6 inches

You can order the Willys with the Xtreme Recon Package with the 3.6-liter eTorque engine starting now and the Toledo, Ohio assembly plant can have them built as early as December! Contact us at Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to get your order in now!
